A major change in the world was that there seemed to be new creatures everywhere in the world. He was told these creatures were called humans (hoo-mons as he always thought in his head). It was these humans that sheltered the dinosaur survivors in the Field Museum and maintained tributes to his forefathers and their society. This was only fitting, as his parents certainly were the pinnacle of sophistication. For heavens sakes, these humans didn't even seem to have back scales! They did make something delicious called chocolate pudding though.
Weezy spent his days wandering the museums and studying these humans. He liked his friends, but he was restless. He was not born to shelter in a museum, he was born to RULE. It was time that he found his rightful place and explored the new world.
And then one day, Weezy met a human who was audacious enough to PICK HIM UP.
"OOOOOO, look how cute and fierce he is!" squealed the human. It seemed to be one of the female ones.
"MADAM PUT ME DOWN!" roared Weezy
"He will be perfect to introduce to John Charles" continued the human, "Do you think he would like him?" This seemed to be directed to some slightly older humans accompanying the younger female.
"Yes, he would be perfect!" said the other female. At this point, Weezy had had quite enough. He was not some peon to be discussed without being acknowledged.
"Ma'am, I am ROYAL! I am not a 'him', my name is Weezy!" yelled Weezy.
"Oh!" said the female, "I beg your pardon. My name is Marisa. I'm here to adopt a dinosaur, we were told there are quite a few here who need homes? How would you like to come home with us?" Weezy had never heard of other dinosaurs being adopted. After all, he was approximately 200 million years old. That seemed like quite an old age to be 'adopted' into a family. That being considered, it certainly seemed like this had some positive potential.
"Do you travel?" asked Weezy trying to not sound too intrigued.
"Yes!" replied Marisa, "I travel every week actually. I was hoping to adopt you to be a guardian of my new nephew. He was just born this week!" Now this sounded appealing to Weezy. The opportunity to travel every week? Time to train and become a protector to a youngling? That had potential! It had been quite a while since he had practiced his lessons, his roar was clearly pretty rusty by the lack of intimidation by this little family.
"Well I suppose that would suit me," grumbled Weezy trying not to sound eager, "but I will be RESPECTED. I am the great-great-grandson of the last royal dragons on my mother's side you know."
"Of course." replied Marisa. She sounded suspiciously like she was hiding a smile, but Weezy let it pass. She paid the adoption fee and a few minutes later, Weezy was traveling with the family to fancy metal contraptions that seemed to move. To commemorate the day, Weezy acquiesced the request to record themselves on some box-thing Marisa seemed to have. She told him this was called 'taking pictures'.
